Mealify is a free nutrition tracker. We collect only what's needed to run it, we never sell your data, and we show no ads.
What we store
- Account details: username, email and a securely hashed password (we can never see your password).
- Body & goal information you enter: sex, age, height, weight, target weight, activity level and goal — used only to calculate your targets.
- Your logs: foods, weigh-ins, quiz and game scores, badges and family memberships.
- Photos you upload: meal and progress photos are re-encoded on upload, which removes hidden metadata such as GPS location. They're stored privately and only shown to you.
Who can see what
Your logs, weights and photos are private. If you join a family, other members see your username and your weekly scores (days logged, on-target days, weigh-in count and quiz points) — never your actual weight, foods or photos. Quiz and game leaderboards show your username and score.
Third parties
Barcode and packaged-food searches are sent from our server to Open Food Facts (only the barcode or search term — nothing about you). Fonts and icon libraries load from Google Fonts and Cloudflare's CDN, which may log your IP address as part of normal web requests.
Cookies
We use one essential session cookie to keep you logged in and protect forms from forgery. Your theme preference is stored in your browser. No tracking or advertising cookies.
Your rights
From your profile you can export all your data as a file, correct it at any time, or permanently delete your account and everything attached to it.
Health disclaimer
Mealify provides general information, not medical advice. Calorie and nutrition figures are estimates. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, under 18, or have a history of disordered eating, please talk to a qualified professional before changing your diet.
