Big Cajun-spiced Sirloin Steak with New Potatoes, Green Beans & Tenderstem
A zingy Cajun bowl: sirloin steak with new potatoes, green beans and tenderstem. Around 988 kcal and 87g protein per portion.
Ingredients
- 230g Sirloin Steak
- 340g new potatoes
- 80g green beans
- 80g tenderstem broccoli
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 10g lemon juice
- 50g greek yoghurt
- 80g avocado
- 5g olive oil
- chopped parsley
Method
-
1
Prep everything first: wash and trim the green beans and tenderstem, then measure out the sauce ingredients.
-
2
Boil the new potatoes in salted water for 15-18 minutes until a knife slides in easily, then halve.
-
3
Bring the steak to room temperature, season, and sear in a smoking-hot pan for 2-3 minutes per side for medium-rare. Rest for 5 minutes, then slice against the grain.
-
4
Coat the protein generously in Cajun seasoning. Mix the yoghurt with lemon juice and a pinch of the spice to make a cooling dip.
-
5
Meanwhile, steam or stir-fry the green beans and tenderstem for 3-5 minutes until just tender with a little bite.
-
6
Build the plate: new potatoes first, then the veg and sirloin steak, spooning over any remaining sauce. Finish with the chopped parsley.

Bulking upgrade: add the avocado, olive oil for extra energy-dense calories.
