Big Teriyaki Lean Beef with Egg Noodles, Red Cabbage & Beansprouts
Big flavour, sensible numbers. This Japanese plate pairs lean beef with egg noodles for 69g protein and roughly 953 kcal.
Ingredients
- 190g Beef Mince
- 270g egg noodles
- 80g red cabbage
- 80g bean sprouts
- 30g teriyaki sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, grated
- 5g ginger
- 5g sesame oil
- 60g avocado
- 5g sesame seeds
Method
-
1
Prep everything first: wash and trim the red cabbage and beansprouts, then measure out the sauce ingredients.
-
2
Cook the egg noodles for 4 minutes, drain and toss with a few drops of sesame oil or water.
-
3
Brown the lean beef mince in a hot pan for 6-8 minutes, breaking it up, then drain any excess fat.
-
4
Whisk the teriyaki sauce with the grated garlic and ginger. Add to the pan for the final 2 minutes and let it bubble into a sticky glaze.
-
5
Meanwhile, steam or stir-fry the red cabbage and beansprouts for 3-5 minutes until just tender with a little bite.
-
6
Build the plate: egg noodles first, then the veg and lean beef, spooning over any remaining sauce. Finish with the sesame seeds.
-
7
Bulking upgrade: add the sesame oil, avocado for extra energy-dense calories.
