Mass-Builder Teriyaki Sea Bass, Udon Noodles & Pak Choi Plate
Big flavour, sensible numbers. This Japanese plate pairs sea bass with udon noodles for 61g protein and roughly 803 kcal.
Ingredients
- 190g Sea Bass
- 305g udon noodles
- 80g tenderstem broccoli
- 80g pak choi
- 30g teriyaki sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, grated
- 5g ginger
- 5g sesame oil
- 60g avocado
- 5g sesame seeds
Method
-
1
Prep everything first: wash and trim the tenderstem and pak choi, then measure out the sauce ingredients.
-
2
Loosen the udon noodles in boiling water for 2 minutes and drain.
-
3
Score the sea bass skin, season and pan-fry skin-side down for 3-4 minutes, then flip for 1 minute.
-
4
Whisk the teriyaki sauce with the grated garlic and ginger. Add to the pan for the final 2 minutes and let it bubble into a sticky glaze.
-
5
Meanwhile, steam or stir-fry the tenderstem and pak choi for 3-5 minutes until just tender with a little bite.
-
6
Build the plate: udon noodles first, then the veg and sea bass, spooning over any remaining sauce. Finish with the sesame seeds.
-
7
Bulking upgrade: add the sesame oil, avocado for extra energy-dense calories.
