Teriyaki Sea Bass & Jasmine Rice Bowl with Tenderstem
Big flavour, sensible numbers. This Japanese plate pairs sea bass with jasmine rice for 52g protein and roughly 560 kcal.
Ingredients
- 140g Sea Bass
- 150g jasmine rice
- 80g tenderstem broccoli
- 80g edamame beans
- 30g teriyaki sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, grated
- 5g ginger
- 5g sesame seeds
Method
-
1
Prep everything first: wash and trim the tenderstem and edamame, then measure out the sauce ingredients.
-
2
Cook the jasmine rice with 1.5 parts water, covered, for 12 minutes, then fluff with a fork.
-
3
Score the sea bass skin, season and pan-fry skin-side down for 3-4 minutes, then flip for 1 minute.
-
4
Whisk the teriyaki sauce with the grated garlic and ginger. Add to the pan for the final 2 minutes and let it bubble into a sticky glaze.
-
5
Meanwhile, steam or stir-fry the tenderstem and edamame for 3-5 minutes until just tender with a little bite.
-
6
Build the bowl: jasmine rice first, then the veg and sea bass, spooning over any remaining sauce. Finish with the sesame seeds.
